Mission Statement

Then mission of the Cameron Police Department is to provide efficient and effective law enforcement services to the City of Cameron and the Milam County Community. The highest standards of honesty and integrity will be observed through the adherence and dedication to equal protection and equality in law enforcement.

It is the goal of the Cameron Police Department to develop a community service-based law enforcement agency to consistently and professionally meet the needs of the citizens and provide law enforcement service the citizens and community deserve. The Cameron Police Department will provide leaders in its law enforcement cadre to meet and maintain positive relationships with the neighborhoods, schools, businesses, and citizens of the community to meet its public safety needs and cultivate and environment of clarity, transparency, alignment and purpose that connects the citizens of Milam County Community with its goals and objectives.

All complaints should be submitted in written form and signed by the the complainant. Complaints should be addressed to the Chief of Police Lonnie Gosch. Complaints can be mailed or hand delivered to the Cameron PD @ 605 W. 4th St. in Cameron, TX. 76520 or emailed to lgosch@camerontexas.net

Text To 911 
Now available  in the Milam County area. When trouble arises and you are unable to speak, 
you can now text 911 with your emergency and help will be on the way. 
Just send your text in a normal fashion and include as much information as possible. Dispatch
will then respond to your text and send help immediately.
