New Residents Guide

Welcome
Visitors: welcome to Cameron, Texas!

Inviting Community
Cameron is the county seat located on the Little River in North Central Milam County. Our hometown is a peaceful, friendly and civic-minded community nestled in the heart of an abundance of rivers, lakes, and wonderful outdoor country living. Cameron is a great place for a home, family and business.

Thriving Business
The downtown has experienced a continuing renovation that began with the historic courthouse and our very own 1891 Victorian-style building that is now Cameron City Hall McLane Municipal Center. Thanks to the generosity of the McLane Family, the new building was completed in 2002.

Visitors and new residents contact or visit the Cameron Area Chamber of Commerce for more helpful information.
